A COA is a document issued by an accredited testing laboratory that certifies the identity, purity, and quality of a compound. Our COAs include HPLC purity results and Mass Spectrometry identity confirmation. Every batch has a batch-specific COA available in our public library.

HPLC measures purity — what percentage of the sample is the target compound. Mass Spectrometry confirms identity — it verifies the compound is what it claims to be by measuring molecular mass. Both are required for every batch we sell.

Endotoxins are molecules from gram-negative bacteria that can cause severe inflammatory responses. Standard purity testing does not detect them. We conduct endotoxin testing using the USP <85> LAL assay on relevant compounds.

Treat them as you would any lyophilized reference material: keep vials sealed, dry and protected from light, and move them to −20 °C on receipt for long-term storage. Let a vial come to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation, and log the lot number against your work so results trace back to its COA. Handling once a vial is opened or placed in solution should follow your own protocol and your institution’s SOPs.
