What is CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin (no DAC)?

CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin (no DAC) is a pre-combined, lyophilized research blend of two peptides studied in endocrinology research, supplied in one vial: 5 mg of CJC-1295 without DAC and 5 mg of Ipamorelin. CJC-1295 is an analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH); Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide that acts on the ghrelin receptor.

CAS numbers: CJC-1295 863288-34-0; Ipamorelin 170851-70-4. Molecular formulas: CJC-1295 (no DAC) C152H252N44O42 (3367.9 g/mol); Ipamorelin C38H49N9O5 (711.9 g/mol).

What’s in the blend

CJC-1295 (no DAC), also known as modified GRF (1-29), is a 29-amino-acid GHRH analogue with substitutions that make it more stable than the native fragment. “No DAC” means it does not carry the Drug Affinity Complex, the chemical attachment used in the long-acting form. Much of the published CJC-1295 literature concerns the DAC form (Teichman et al., 2006; Alba et al., 2006), so those findings should not be assumed to apply to the no-DAC version.

Ipamorelin was described in 1998 as a selective growth hormone secretagogue (Raun et al., 1998).

Areas of laboratory research

  • Ipamorelin in cell and animal models. Ipamorelin has been studied in rat pituitary cells, rats and pigs (Raun et al., 1998), and in rat studies of longitudinal bone growth (Johansen et al., 1999).
  • Ipamorelin pharmacokinetic modeling. Its pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic profile has been modeled in clinical research (Gobburu et al., 1999).
  • CJC-1295 (DAC form). The long-acting DAC form has been examined in clinical pharmacokinetic studies (Teichman et al., 2006) and in a GHRH-knockout mouse model (Alba et al., 2006).

The blend itself has not been the subject of published research.

Quality and verification

Every HAUZ Research lot of CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin (no DAC) is independently tested for HPLC purity (99%+), identity by mass spectrometry, and endotoxin, and its certificate of analysis is kept in the COA Library. It is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial. For research use only — not for human or veterinary use.

Frequently asked questions

What does “no DAC” mean?

It means the CJC-1295 in this vial does not carry the Drug Affinity Complex, the chemical attachment found in the long-acting form described in much of the published literature. It is the version also called modified GRF (1-29).

What is in each vial?

Each vial contains 5 mg of CJC-1295 (no DAC) and 5 mg of Ipamorelin as a lyophilized powder, for a total of 10 mg.

Is CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin approved for human use?

No. Neither compound is an FDA-approved drug. The blend is sold for laboratory research only and is not for human or veterinary use.
